Madhobi Gomes: A Role Model for Women Empowerment
Natore, Bangladesh - Madhobi Gomes, a 31-year-old woman from the village of Chondipur in Baraigram Upazila, has become a role model for women in Bangladesh. Madhobi was born in 1992, and from a young age, she had a deep interest in crafts and making things with her own hands. However, her life took a turn when she contracted polio, which affected her ability to learn and memorize things easily.
Despite her struggles with learning, Madhobi remained determined to pursue her interests and passions. However, she faced many obstacles along the way. She struggled with studying and had no interest in pursuing a job. But things changed when she got married and moved to Dhaka City.
In Dhaka, Madhobi began to work hard and received extensive training in making ornaments, showpieces with clay and crystals, wedding dresses and ornaments, bakery and food items, and other crafts. She also received training from The Department of Youth Development, and now she is enlisted as one of their trainers. She runs training batches at her residence and has helped many women in her community to learn new skills and improve their livelihoods.
Madhobi's husband has been a great support to her throughout her journey, especially when it comes to working with food items. With his support, Madhobi has received numerous awards and certificates for her excellent work. She has also performed on TV shows regarding cooking and has been involved in various social works.
Madhobi is an icon of hope for unemployed women across the country. She has shown that with hard work, determination, and support, women can overcome obstacles and achieve great things. She is an inspiration for all women to increase their dignity in life, participate in decision-making processes, and contribute to their family's economy.
Speaking to a reporter, Madhobi said, "I believe that women have the power to change their lives and the lives of those around them. All they need is the opportunity to learn and the support to pursue their dreams. I am proud to be a role model for other women and to show them that they can achieve anything they set their minds to."
Madhobi's story has inspired many women in Bangladesh to follow in her footsteps and pursue their dreams. She has become a shining example of what can be achieved when women are empowered and given the chance to realize their full potential. Her message to all women is clear: "Believe in yourself, work hard, and never give up on your dreams."
